Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design Projects
Plan, interpret, and manage projects through all phases of development including
Pre-design, Schematic design, Design development, Construction and documents
and Construction administration
Work directly with Clients and is the point person for the entire project
Approve purchase orders for design projects
Manage the day-to-day needs of the project through other design staff assigned to the project, including design assistant, pricing coordinator and expeditor.
Render design ideas in form of boards, drawings, or illustrations, estimates, material requirements and costs, and present design to client for approval
Communicate with clients and management through Weekly Reports, etc.
Ensure all the documentation is complete for all projects
Submission of all proposals to clients
Attend product installations at clients homes
Approve accessory presentations from interior stylist
Coordinating with client travel schedule, Travel for installations as needed
Maintain a log of time spent on each project and enter for time billing as needed
Business Development
Develop business relationships with builders, architects, realtors and developers to bring in new business opportunities
Continuing Education
Attend Market and meet with Vendor representatives
Attend vendor presentations
General
Complete Friday report and send to Director of Design and CEO.
Be punctual in attendance and dependable in performance
Maintain a neat, business-like appearance
Represent the Company in a professional manner
Work closely as a team with everyone in the office.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail and self-motivation.
Qualifications
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Educational and experience requirements are included.
Demonstrate solid knowledge of the design industry
2-4 year degree in Interior Design
5+ years' experience as a designer in residential design.
Basic accounting knowledge.
Travel is required on occasion for client projects and continuing education.
Utilize computer software Photoshop, Canva, AutoCAD, Design Manager, Word and Excel
This is an in-office position.
