Role Overview
We’re looking for an Advertising & Partnerships Lead to grow strategic partnerships across the global art ecosystem. This role is designed for someone deeply embedded in the art world who can open doors immediately — someone who has and can build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across galleries, art fairs, museums, and art‑adjacent businesses. This is a revenue‑carrying role with clear performance targets tied to advertising, data product growth, and subscriptions.
This role sits within Artsy and Artnet’s Expansion team which is responsible for growing revenue across both brands—deepening existing partner relationships while developing new opportunities across the art ecosystem. You will be responsible for selling and scaling our advertising offerings to art businesses (incl. galleries, museums, art fairs, and other related businesses), and cross‑selling new and existing products across Artsy and Artnet's partner bases. You'll have the opportunity to help re‑define the playbook and shape how we position our brands to partners and cultural institutions globally.
Responsibilities
Build and grow partnerships with galleries, museums, art fairs, and art‑adjacent businesses across advertising and our portfolio of commercial products.
Leverage your existing network within the art world to create immediate commercial opportunities and accelerate partnership growth.
Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through negotiation, closing, and renewal.
Develop strategic, consultative relationships with senior stakeholders across the art ecosystem.
Identify cross‑sell opportunities across our product suite as the business evolves—from advertising and intelligence tools to entirely new offerings in development.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in advertising sales, digital media partnerships, or sponsorship sales, ideally within the art, luxury, culture, or lifestyle sectors.
Established network within the contemporary art world and can immediately engage senior decision-makers across leading galleries, museums, fairs, and related institutions.
Highly relationship‑oriented but also comfortable operating in a metrics‑driven environment with clear pipeline and revenue accountability.
Understanding of how brand storytelling, audience engagement, and visual identity contribute to successful advertising partnerships.
Entrepreneurial, self‑directed, and excited by the opportunity to help build and shape a growing business function.
Excellent communication with credibility and confidence across both creative and commercial stakeholders.
Experience using Salesforce and sales analytics tools to manage pipeline health and performance reporting.
Currently authorized to live and work in the United States.
Success in Your First 3–6 Months
Activate existing network to generate immediate partnership conversations and commercial opportunities.
Develop a strong understanding of Artsy and Artnet's full product suite, audience, and market positioning.
Build a healthy, qualified pipeline quickly, identifying high‑value prospects and moving them through the sales cycle with urgency.
Close early deals, demonstrating your ability to convert relationships into revenue.
By six months: close multiple high‑impact partnerships with galleries, institutions, and art‑adjacent businesses.
Operate as a high‑performing contributor with a growing and well‑managed pipeline, become a trusted external representative, and contribute meaningfully to revenue growth and commercial frameworks.
