Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Sports Media, Journalism, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Film Production, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in photography and/or videography.

Position Summary:

The role of Content Video/Photo Coordinator will be responsible for capturing authentic moments that tell the story of Georgia Athletics and assigned sport beyond game results and statistics. The position will serve as a visual historian, documenting practices, workouts, travel, team activities, community engagement, recruiting events, and behind‑the‑scenes moments that define the student‑athlete experience. Create visual narratives that highlight student‑athlete journeys, coaching philosophies, team traditions, and program milestones through the production of high‑quality photo and video assets for use across athletic department platforms.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, provide superior customer service and ability to work nights and weekends during practice and competitions.

Demonstrated experience in photography and/or videography.

Working knowledge of DSLR, mirrorless, and mobile content capture equipment.

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Lightroom and Premiere Pro.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Passion for collegiate athletics and storytelling.

Understanding of NCAA athletics culture and recruiting environments.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Experience with and demonstrated ability to create, utilize, and interpret brand standards.

Demonstrated ability to create digital and social media campaigns, particularly those focused on driving fan attendance and revenue generation.

Physical Demands:

Regularly stand; walk; use hands and reach with arms. Occasionally sit and talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions.

Duties/Responsibilities
Daily Content Capture (30%)

Independently identify and document team activities including practices, workouts, meetings, travel, community service events, recruiting functions, and game day – producing compelling content for social media.

Anticipate and capture candid, behind‑the‑scenes moments that showcase team culture, leadership, relationships, and player development.

Produce high‑quality photo and video assets for use across athletic department platforms.

Exercise sound editorial judgment to recognize and prioritize moments that reflect the identity and values of the assigned sport in real time.

Program Storytelling (25%)

Conceive and execute visual narratives highlighting student‑athlete journeys, coaching philosophies, team traditions, and program milestones.

Proactively identify and archive moments that may have future recruiting, marketing, fundraising, or historical significance.

Collaborate with coaches and creative staff to plan and ensure comprehensive documentation of key program stories throughout the year.

Balance immediate social media demands with long‑term storytelling initiatives, planning content strategically across the season.

Content Organization & Archiving (15%)

Maintain an organized digital archive of photos, videos, interviews, and historical assets.

Catalog content using established naming conventions and metadata systems.

Build and preserve a visual history of the program for future use in recruiting, donor engagement, anniversary projects, and institutional storytelling.

Manage cloud‑based storage systems and content databases.

Game Day & Event Coverage (15%)

Deliver dynamic pre‑game, in‑game, and post‑game coverage from creative and unique perspectives.

Capture meaningful interactions among student‑athletes, coaches, alumni, donors, and fans.

Coordinate with fellow creative staff to source content for both immediate distribution and long‑term feature projects.

Travel with the team as assigned, operating independently.

Collaboration (10%)

Serve as a trusted creative partner to sports staff, Athletics Communications, Creative Services, Recruiting, Development, and Fan Engagement teams.

Deliver timely, high‑quality content in support of recruiting presentations, social campaigns, donor events, and special projects.

Contribute creative ideas that elevate the visibility and brand of Georgia Athletics.
