Senior Copywriter
The role
Under supervision, the Senior Copywriter is expected to contribute to all aspects of each job—from conception to completion, including receiving direction, referencing, revisions, and ensuring copy meets agency standards for stopping power, simplicity, memorability, and uniqueness.

What we expect from you

Write copy that is concise, clear, creative, and supportive.

Display good sentence structure, overall composition, and logical flow.

Ensure grammatical correctness and no spelling errors.

Write headlines, subheads, and body copy.

Reference and fact‑check copy.

Conceptualize professional and consumer campaigns—including direct mail, detail aids, banner ads, and journal ads.

Create educational and motivational tools for the sales force.

Allocate time to ensuring that tactics for the primary account are executed accurately, creatively, and timely.

Consult with Account Services and colleagues for product information.

Conduct research through Internet and medical publications for background and current development data.

Review advertising trends, consumer surveys, and related data to formulate presentation approaches.

Work with supervisor and/or art director to develop creative strategies and concepts; may serve as creative lead on projects.

Review and present copy to senior team members to ensure strategic focus and tone adherence.

Navigate an ever‑changing landscape, adjusting and revising copy until approval.

Provide backup copy support for other accounts and new business opportunities.

Collaborate with an Art Director to explore pictorial presentation of brand story and data.

Understand the role of strategy in the creative development process.

Familiarize with industry practices, especially FDA regulations.

Familiarize with client workflow, risk environment, and therapeutic history.

Demonstrate visual thinking ability.

Understand branding and campaign development concepts.

Background/experience and skills

Bachelor's degree preferred.

5–7 years of experience in an agency with healthcare experience.

Science and/or medical background ideal.

Possesses an inquisitive mind and asks relevant questions for insights.

Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a can‑do attitude.

Detail oriented with strong research and problem‑solving ability.

Learns quickly and has a continuous learning mentality.

Communicates clearly, concisely, and respectfully—both verbally and in writing; professional writing experience a plus.

Displays strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate.

Skilled in trajectory thinking, seeing beyond primary and secondary associations and connectivity.

Competent in the entire Microsoft software suite.
