Overview
The Technology & Activation Group (TAAG) is a team of Digital Marketing technology, operations and measurement professionals supported by best-in-class technology and expertly-designed procedures.
We are looking for a Marketing Technology leader who can work confidently with senior agency executives and clients, translate business data requirements into technical solutions, develop measurement strategies, and manage key relationships with digital media technology, operations, data and research partners. This role requires delivering the agency's point of view and recommendations while building best-in-class capability within Publicis Collective.
Responsibilities
Technology & Activation Group Leadership
- Lead the development, documentation and enforcement of client‑specific intake and workflow governance processes, including JIRA intake, traffic sheet submission standards, taxonomy handoff protocols, revision management, approval workflows and SLA adherence.
- Maintain rigorous QA standards for regulated client environments, ensuring trafficking, tags, URLs, macros, platform IDs, and documentation are accurate, traceable and aligned to approved workflows before handoff.
- Work with media account teams to properly position and consult within the Technology & Activation capability.
- Engage with media team directors to scope client‑by‑client Technology & Activation Group personnel and deliverables.
- Manage assignment of resources across client teams.
- Along with other Publicis Collective digital leadership, manage Technology & Activation Group team members’ training and career development.
- Create and distribute simple, comprehensive and meaningful documentation that captures the development of processes and requirements.
Technology Partner Adoption & Expertise
- Work with account teams to ensure full knowledge and utilization of existing platforms and technologies, and coordinate vendor training as necessary.
- Identify pain points and gaps in current technology capabilities versus the ideal, liaising between account teams and tech providers on product development roadmaps.
- Provide points of view and assist in architecting solutions for under‑utilized or new product advancements and capabilities.
- Collaborate with account strategy and analytics teams to solve client‑specific business problems using technology solutions (insights, execution, measurement, etc.).
New Technology Solutions
- Serve as centralized point of contact between agency account teams and technology partners for potential implementation of applications to existing client businesses, liaising with Publicis Media and Global TAAG leadership to ensure all partnerships are fully vetted and strategically aligned.
- Develop TAAG team resources to provide POV and support to account teams considering new technologies.
- Develop TAAG team resources to provide solutions architect services for utilizing new technologies.
- Develop TAAG team resources to design and deliver training modules for new technologies.
- When technology does not exist to meet a specific need, architect or direct other TAAG team members to build a ground‑up solution leveraging Publicis’ technology team or a third party, ultimately creating a marketable asset for Publicis Collective.
Thought Leadership
- Provide industry perspective on ad and marketing technology trends to account teams and clients.
- Provide consultation and support for the development of technology and operations roadmaps within client LOBs.
- Stay abreast of emerging tools and technologies, ensuring the agency and clients use the right solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience with marketing technology tools and data mining/business intelligence systems (e.g., ad server, dynamic creative technology, tag management systems, DMPs, verification measurement platforms, reporting and data modeling dashboards).
- Knowledge of media buying purpose and process within agencies and client organizations.
- Knowledge of digital and traditional media planning, implementation, optimization and reporting process and technologies (planning platforms, ad servers, bid management, DSPs, research partners, reporting partners, tagging, verification, privacy, content management, site‑side analytics, audience intelligence).
- Marketing technology platform experience and working knowledge of:
- Google360 products (Campaign Manager, SA360, DV360)
- Ad server/DCO/verification tools (Innovid, Smartly, IAS, Doubleverify)
- DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP)
- Tag management (GTM, Adobe Launch)
- Site measurement platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
- Social platforms (FB, Instagram, TikTok)
- Understanding of technology platforms, databases, hosting environments, APIs, enterprise architecture/platforms, data structures/formats, programming logic, web development platforms and technologies.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities, operationally to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks such as reporting and trafficking, and strategically to guide teams in enhancing their work products as TAAG evolves.
- Ability to work closely with senior agency leadership and account leadership (digital & non‑digital) to provide strategic Technology & Activation direction.
- Ability to cultivate excellent relationships with technology, data and research partners.
- Excellent communicator capable of explaining intricate technological details to audiences with varying levels of knowledge.
- Active development of junior TAAG talent and collaboration with leadership to build a consultative, growth‑oriented team of media technology professionals.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Benefits
Compensation Range: USD $121,315.00 – USD $194,220.00 per year. The company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Regular roles receive medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), and paid time off; temporary roles may qualify for medical and 401(k) plans after meeting eligibility criteria.
