Pediatric Radiology Associates, P.C.
Pediatric Radiology group based at Children’s of Alabama in Birmingham is seeking an additional radiologist to join our experienced, fellowship‑trained, pediatric‑only group.

Children’s of Alabama is one of the largest freestanding children’s hospitals in the United States. The campus features a 332‑bed hospital adjacent to the University of Alabama, Birmingham campus, a large outpatient facility, advanced imaging equipment (three MRI units – one 3 Tesla, two 1.5 Tesla, and an additional 3 Tesla unit to be added this fall), four CT scanners (including a 256‑slice, two 64‑slice and one 16‑slice), a state‑of‑the‑art three‑dimensional lab, six ultrasound units, two nuclear medicine units (including PET/CT), five diagnostic radiography units, an interventional suite, and full PACS integration.

Responsibilities

Perform pediatric body imaging, radiographs, nuclear medicine studies, and fluoroscopy.

Limit interventional procedures to TP tube or GI tube replacements; no neuro‑radiology required.

Teach, train, and support radiology residents from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Baptist/Brookwood Health System.

Participate in research collaborations at Children’s of Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Share equally in night‑call duties with a 1:9 weekend call ratio and contribute to the nighthawk overnight interpretation service.

Enjoy a balanced vacation schedule of 12 weeks commencing in Year 1.

Qualifications

Board certified or eligible in Pediatric Radiology.

Fellowship trained in Pediatric Radiology.

Preferably CAQ‑ed in Pediatric Radiology.

U.S. citizenship or legal right to work in the United States; ability to sponsor J‑1 and H‑1B visas.
