PPAA--Voter Engagement Specialist (HI)_Public Affairs
Hawaii, USA

Responsibilities
The Voter Engagement Specialist (VES) will spend approximately 12 weeks at 19 hours per week building grassroots support for reproductive health and rights through direct voter contact and grassroots organizing.

The VES will learn and apply community organizing tactics such as engaging supporters and volunteers to conduct voter education by door‑to‑door, over the phone, and at community events. The VES will work under the supervision of a local PPAA Field Organizer, with additional guidance from the Kentucky State Director.

Qualifications

Commitment to educating and mobilizing individuals around issues of reproductive health and rights

Willingness to cold‑call and speak to strangers on behalf of Planned Parenthood and its work

Team player and independent worker

Well‑organized and self‑motivated

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and cloud‑based file sharing systems

Live in or have proficiency in the assigned geographic area

Access to reliable personal transportation is necessary

Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time is necessary

May require lifting up to 50 lbs.

Benefits and Compensation
Position Type: Temporary – non‑exempt.

All new hires are strongly recommended to have the COVID‑19 vaccination, including boosters. All new hires hired between September and April must present proof of receiving a current flu shot.
