Account Manager, Workers Compensation The Account Manager, Workers Compensation assists account executives and producers with marketing and servicing of new and renewal business. The role coordinates with the production team and insurance carriers to facilitate successful client renewals.
Responsibilities Discuss renewal strategies with producers and marketing strategy.
Prepare for renewal outputs and obtain renewal specifications from clients 120 days prior to renewal, including payroll, employee counts, and supplemental applications.
Obtain updated loss runs and current Experience Mod worksheet.
Review certificate holder list, send to client, and review ownership structure to update per client information.
Complete marketing submissions (ACORD applications, supplemental applications, loss runs, etc.).
Follow up with markets until quotes are received.
Create renewal documents 30 days prior to renewal.
Confirm coverage is bound, send binder to client, and confirm payment options.
Complete invoicing unless Direct Bill; obtain premium financing quote if needed.
Complete premium allocation spreadsheets for clients by location and installment.
Assist clients with claim filing procedures, online RMIS system access, and Nurse Triage program access.
Follow up with carriers for policy, QC data, and audit details, and elevate to producers for review or appeal when necessary.
Obtain monthly loss runs and send to client and producer to review for adverse trends.
Monitor unit statistic dates, request new Experience Mod worksheets, and perform ad‑hoc data entry in EPIC.
Participate in claim calls and stewardship meeting calls to review account activity and trends.
Update client information, including new exposure requests, payroll changes, and location or ownership changes.
Communicate with carriers regarding business changes and follow up for necessary endorsements.
Keep clients updated on activity and issue resolution through consistent communication.
Understand how client changes affect coverage and discuss proactively with clients.
Handle ad‑hoc requests for certificates of insurance, endorsements, and monitor all policy expiration dates.
Set up new client orientation in EPIC and obtain copies of policies from carriers.
Request and review prior broker’s schedule of insurance, recreate from CAC, and import into eCerts.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two to three years of account management experience required.
Worker’s Compensation experience is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong multi‑tasking and time‑management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects efficiently.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with high professionalism and confidentiality.
Salary: $75-85k salary range plus bonus opportunity and benefits. This information reflects the anticipated range for this position. Actual salary may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
