Public Affairs Specialist

Back Bay Staffing Group is seeking a Public Affairs Specialist for our Metro West client. Requirements/Duties:
Education/experience: Bachelor's Degree in a related area and 4-6 years related experience in Public Affair/ Public Relations.
Develop a variety of materials designed to promote the agency's services or provide information to the public on specific issues.
Materials can include web pages, newsletters, brochures, emails, news releases, public presentations, videos ad blog postings.
Respond to inquiries from the public and media.
Serve as advisers to agency leaders offering ideas and thoughts on how to respond to the media or how to communicate an issue.
Utilizes creativity and judgment and the ability to work without guidance.
Has the confidence level to be able to communicate effectively and work for the Hospital Director.
Plan, develop and communicate the organization's programs, policies and activities.
Develop and transmit informational materials to a variety of public audiences to enhance the understanding of the organization.
Proactively gather and analyze information needs in terms of our response to public inquiries.
Develop media related materials including fact sheets, new releases, feature articles for magazines and trade papers, radio and television scripts, videos, blogs, motion pictures and/or other materials.
Provide advisory and technical services in designing approaches resolving public affairs problems.
The hours for this position are: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a half-hour for lunch and two 15-minute breaks (8 hours).
