Role Summary The Assistant in Motion Pictures supports an agent in the Production department. The ideal candidate is passionate about talent representation and open to exploring an agent career path. The assistant will immerse themselves in large‑scale opportunities such as pitching, submitting on breakdowns, and general project management, while communicating professionally with agents, executives, clients, and peers.
Responsibilities Manage administrative duties, including handling calls, emails, client calendar, booking reports, expense reports, contracts, and general office tasks.
Serve as the first point of contact with clients, agents, and network/studio executives.
Track and meticulously maintain data grids, executing excellent follow‑through and follow‑up.
Assist with special projects, research, and compiling information as needed.
Stay current on entertainment industry events, particularly those related to motion pictures and television.
Maintain trailers, files, and media links.
Qualifications Minimum 10 months of professional administrative or equivalent experience.
Ability to work well in fast‑paced environments, meet tight deadlines, lead multiple projects, and maintain sharp focus while handling competing priorities under pressure.
Attention to detail, strong organization, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, with an understanding of confidentiality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
Ability to anticipate needs and execute time‑sensitive matters.
Team orientation and ability to collaborate with employees at all levels.
Rapid learning of new processes and technology, and assimilation into existing systems.
Preferred Skills Experience with editing or having worked on a set.
Knowledge of industry entertainment trends.
Education BA/BS from an accredited university or college is preferred.
Location On‑site in Los Angeles, CA, United States.
Compensation The base hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $22.00. The role is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonuses, with final wages determined by relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location.
