Senior Designer, Children's Publishing

Leading the design and production of the Who HQ series, the full-time Senior Designer, Children's Publishing will oversee cover and interior art for 30-40 new titles annually, collaborating with editorial and freelance artists in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities

Art directing and designing covers and interiors for new titles in the Who HQ series
Collaborating with the Associate Publisher, designers, and editorial staff to ensure quality and adherence to brand guidelines
Hiring and directing illustrators while managing production schedules and approvals

Required qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of design experience in publishing, preferably in children's publishing
A portfolio demonstrating skills in illustration, book design, and typography
Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
Knowledge of pre-press and printing processes is a plus
