Anchor / Multimedia Journalist – KKCO (Grand Junction, Colorado)

The E.W. Scripps NBC affiliate in Grand Junction is hiring an Anchor/Multimedia Journalist who will prepare, deliver, and present accurate, compelling news content across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted on‑air journalist, connect with viewers through strong storytelling, sound news judgment, and a commitment to journalistic excellence.
Responsibilities

Anchor the newscast and deliver timely on‑air reporting.
Research, gather, write, and develop news content for television and digital platforms.
Report live from the field at news events as required.
Serve as master of ceremonies for public service events and host station events.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the newsroom and station.
Qualifications

BS/BA in a related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience; 3+ years of related field experience preferred.
Ability to connect on camera with a sense of urgency.
Strong news judgment, organizational skills, and editorial judgment.
Capability to cultivate sources and mine stories.
Knowledge of newsroom computers and databases strongly preferred.
Good communication skills—clear and concise speech.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record; ability to provide proof of insurance in accordance with company requirements.
Compensation

Annual Salary: $57,000.00 – $59,000.00 (based on state and local salary transparency laws). This range is specific to candidates who will perform this work in Colorado.
