Purpose of Role
The Creative Director, Digital Experience leads the creative digital product side of Under Armour’s omnichannel experience. This role partners with internal and external teams to execute the brand’s storytelling vision, reports to the Head of Global Brand Experience, and sets strategy, design, and guidelines for branded programs across UA.com, the UA mobile app, digital media, and retail channels. The Creative Director also creatively leads customization, personalization, and loyalty initiatives, driving an engaging omnichannel experience and serving as the key stakeholder connecting digital creative across the UA ecosystem.
Your Impact
Direct and inspire an omni‑mindful team of art directors, designers, and writers to maximize and evolve UA’s digital experience with the athlete in mind.
Drive consumer‑centric, brand‑elevating, engaging creative from concept through high‑quality output.
Balance brand stewardship and commercial needs, achieving quality work that meets goals while standing out distinctly in the industry.
Collaborate with brand creatives, marketing, CI, CX, UX/UI to create impactful content and purposeful experiences.
Partner with UX and retail to lead a UA‑wide digital design system.
Develop positive working relationships globally, regionally, and cross‑functionally.
Mentor team members to grow into the best creative selves.
Contribute to creative culture and continually refine processes.
Stay current with cultural landscapes, trends, and technologies for relevance and innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Art or a related field or Master’s degree, with typically 12 or 10 years of relevant experience, respectively, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
6+ years of management experience or equivalent as a subject‑matter lead or expert in the area of expertise.
Extensive experience leading omni‑channel campaign development.
Minimum 5 years as a proven team leader in the digital space.
Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and AI tools.
Proven experience with User Experience design (UX, interaction, motion, technology, and usability).
Success in fast‑paced, growth environments involving time‑sensitive, complex projects.
Passion for sport, an understanding of athlete mindset, and a winning attitude.
Creative, curious, experimental design chops with command of visual systems and digital technology.
Strategic thinker who leverages data to make informed decisions and understands the Omni‑Channel ecosystem and customer journeys.
Excellent communicator who navigates ambiguity and engages in honest, direct discussions.
Pro‑active natural leader who leads by example yet is not afraid to roll up sleeves.
Understanding of global relations and regional nuance.
Creative genius and passion for solving problems artfully.
Digital guru blending art, commerce, and technology.
Strong influencing and negotiating skills, especially leading and inspiring creatives.
Ability to rapid‑prototype and visualize thinking in real time.
Ability to direct and manage multiple creative teams and agencies.
Workplace Location
Location:
Must reside within commuting distance of our Baltimore, MD HQ office.
Work Schedule:
Hybrid – 4 days in‑office per week.
Travel:
5–10% of the year.

Relocation support considered.
Base Compensation
US $155,000–$200,000 per year. Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Base salary is one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
