Job Descriptions & Responsibilities
Audio technicians play a hands-on role in developing spatial audio, AI voice models, and augmented reality (AR/VR) wearables. Daily tasks typically include:
Lab Maintenance:
Setting up and calibrating recording equipment, microphones, and audio/acoustic test setups.
Data Collection & Processing:
Gathering high‑quality multimedia data, conducting audiologic experiments, and using scripts to process datasets.
Acoustic Testing:
Utilizing industry‑standard measurement and test equipment, including working with anechoic chambers and configurable acoustic rooms.
Collaboration:
Working alongside researchers and audio software engineers on prototype hardware and foundational audio models.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience:
3–5+ years working with audio/acoustic testing, psychoacoustics, or hearing products.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for audio test automation and signal processing.
Facilities Knowledge:
Familiarity with spatial audio data, ambisonics, and standard audio measurement interfaces.
Education:
A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, or a relevant technical discipline.
