Arils Reliability Technician III (1st Shift)
Full‑time.

JOB SUMMARY: The Reliability Mechanic III is responsible for overseeing maintenance, performing tooling changes and setup, and installing and repairing electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and other production/processing equipment. The role may involve evaluating problematic systems or facilities and determining required installation or repair services. Responsibilities may span the Plastics, Serac, Extraction, Fresh, or Arils Departments within the Reliability Department, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, GMP, and food‑safety compliance. The Mechanic III must also be capable of training other mechanics in maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Compensation - $25.00 - $35.00. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure all company and OSHA safety programs are followed.

Ensure all GMP policies and Food safety procedures are followed.

Ensure all required GFSI, FDA, USDA, FSMA, third‑party audit, and company procedures and policies related to food safety are followed.

Inspect work for completeness and inform the supervisor when job assignments/PMs are complete and ready for inspection.

Determine material, equipment, and supplies to be used, transporting equipment between projects as necessary.

Keep routine records and PM records up to date.

Install, inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other related systems in the Reliability Department.

Inspect major contract work on mechanical and related systems and assist in understanding new installations or changes.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Perform all Mechanic II skills and abilities with minimal to no supervision.

Demonstrate extensive understanding of the theory of operations for surrounding production equipment.

Proficiently troubleshoot production equipment breakdown events.

Perform all PMs or work requests in the Reliability Department with minimal supervision.

Generate value‑added work requests through Up‑Time Inspections utilizing ultrasonic devices and other external tools to identify premature failures of production equipment.

Possess extensive understanding of electrical controls, PLCs, VFDs, and other electronic devices.

Education & Experience
High School or GED, or related technical field. At least two years of education and training beyond high school in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related area. Five years of maintenance operations experience, including two years in a supervisory or lead capacity. Other similar work or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position may be considered.
