Program Coordinator (Westbrook & Early Childhood)

The Locker Project is seeking a full-time (35-40 hours per week) coordinator to implement our take-home food programs in Westbrook and increase program access to families with young children.
Compensation Package:

Starting salary of $48K
QSEHRA (pre‑tax) annual stipend of $6450 (2026 max) toward health insurance premiums
Reimbursement for AAA membership
Three weeks paid time off per year with additional sick time available as needed
Responsibilities:

Manage relationships with Westbrook administrators, social workers, community leaders, and teachers engaged in supporting low‑income students and families
Manage relationships with existing Early Childhood partners, e.g., Head Start and WIC
Develop new partnerships with agencies serving young children and their families
Schedule events, pickups and deliveries with partner contacts
Stock and maintain partner site pantries
Complete food deliveries to schools and other sites according to schedule and as needed
Oversee fresh food events at schools and in public community settings
Coordinate with the team regarding projects, school year and summer schedule development, volunteer needs, materials, van scheduling, etc.
Role Requirements:

Drive a van to and from distribution sites
Load the van with boxes that weigh up to 40 pounds
Employ safe practices when moving food and other heavy objects
Complete ServSafe Certification
Respect and contribute to a team culture
Other:

Operations support and coverage for other team members as needed
Contribute social media content, including to advocacy campaigns
Opportunity to develop a wide range of skills related to nonprofit management
Network to follow local and statewide conversations as well as legislative and policy developments relevant to child hunger, food insecurity generally, and public health and nutrition
