Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Art Director to join in‑house creative agency, Spring, and lead the adaptation of national brand campaigns into localized, multi‑channel creative experiences. This role will be responsible for translating centralized creative strategies into compelling regional campaigns across retail, in‑store, social, print, and out‑of‑home (OOH) channels.
Responsibilities
Adapt national marketing campaigns into localized creative for 100+ retail locations across multiple channels.
Develop scalable visual systems, templates, and production‑ready creative while maintaining brand consistency.
Collaborate closely with copywriters, strategists, production designers, and marketing teams to deliver audience‑focused creative solutions.
Present creative concepts and design rationale to both creative and business stakeholders.
Manage multiple campaigns simultaneously while ensuring quality, accuracy, and on‑time delivery.
Guide production execution and support rollout planning for regional marketing initiatives.
Must‑Have Skills
Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign design across print, retail, social, environmental, and OOH channels.
Expert proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Experience adapting national campaigns for local or regional audiences.
Strong typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and brand system expertise.
Experience building scalable, modular campaign systems and high‑volume production assets.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in retail, performance marketing, or consumer brand campaigns.
Familiarity with motion design workflows and collaborating with motion design teams.
Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance creative excellence with operational efficiency in a fast‑paced environment.
Industry Experience
8+ years of experience in Art Direction, Visual Design, or Creative Campaign Development, preferably within an in‑house creative agency, advertising agency, or consumer brand organization. Experience supporting large‑scale retail or national marketing campaigns is highly preferred.
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) — Pay Range: $75–$78/hr
