Be the one who makes a difference! Vertex Education seeks a Social Media Manager to support the online presence of Legacy Traditional Schools, a 28‑campus charter school network across multiple states.
Essential Functions
Social Media Strategy and Channel Management
Own and manage Legacy's organic social media strategy, content calendar, publishing cadence, and platform mix.
Support social media across a 28‑campus school network while balancing brand consistency with local campus authenticity.
Manage and support content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Stories, Reels, and other relevant social channels.
Recommend what content should be repeated, adjusted, boosted, tested, or discontinued based on audience response and performance data.
Campus Storytelling and Content Creation
Build a repeatable process for identifying strong stories from campus accounts, campus teams, school events, classroom moments, and community activities.
Turn campus‑level stories into parent‑centered content that helps families understand the value of the Legacy experience.
Create and edit captions, short‑form video concepts, story sequences, reels, carousels, event promotions, and other platform‑native content.
Partner with campus and marketing stakeholders to request, refine, and repurpose content while preserving each campus's local voice.
Community Engagement, Reputation, and Local Discovery
Monitor and engage with social activity to strengthen community connection and support parent‑facing communication.
Assist with Google Business Profile support in partnership with appropriate internal stakeholders.
Surface review themes, parent feedback, frequently asked questions, engagement patterns, and escalation needs to the right internal teams.
Promote campus and network events through content that encourages families to learn more, RSVP, schedule tours, request information, or begin the enrollment process.
Performance Reporting and Marketing Collaboration
Track and analyze social media performance across platforms, content types, campaigns, and campus‑related themes.
Use insights to improve content planning, campus story requests, event promotion, boosted content recommendations, and future campaigns.
Partner with enrollment, events, website, paid media, creative, analytics, and organic growth stakeholders to understand how social media supports parent discovery and enrollment marketing.
Share weekly, monthly, and quarterly insights that connect social activity to engagement, website traffic, event interest, Request Info actions, and other enrollment‑supporting outcomes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Four or more years of professional experience managing social media for a brand, organization, agency, school system, or multi‑location business.
Experience creating and managing organic social media content calendars across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Stories, and Reels.
Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and content development skills.
Experience creating or managing short‑form video, social copy, carousels, reels, stories, and platform‑native content.
Experience using social media performance data to improve content strategy, engagement, traffic, or campaign results.
Experience coordinating content, approvals, campaigns, or stakeholder input across multiple teams, departments, or locations.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Ability to support occasional evening or weekend needs tied to school events, timely social coverage, community engagement, or reputation‑related activity.
Ability to collaborate across marketing, enrollment, campus, events, creative, analytics, website, and paid media teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities across a large, multi‑campus organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in K-12 education, charter schools, school marketing, enrollment marketing, or family‑facing communications.
Experience supporting social media for a multi‑campus, multi‑location, franchise, healthcare, education, or distributed organization.
Experience using social media to support website traffic, event attendance, tour requests, interest forms, lead generation, or enrollment‑related goals.
Experience with social media scheduling, reporting, listening, or content creation tools.
Experience supporting online reviews, reputation themes, local business profiles, community feedback, or parent/customer sentiment.
Portfolio or examples of social media content, short‑form video, campaigns, reporting, or community engagement work preferred.
Background Check Requirements
The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
Must be able to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times.
Physical and Travel Requirements
This position requires the need to lift objects (up to 25 pounds) on occasion.
This position may require sitting for long periods at times, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping, and long periods of concentration.
Local and in‑state travel required.
