About the Role
Arizona Opera is seeking cover artists for the children’s opera Rusalka: The Littlest Mermaid. Rusalka: The Littlest Mermaid is a magical, student-friendly opera about courage, transformation, and following your dreams. With a happy ending and timeless message, this enchanting performance is perfect for sparking young imaginations and inspiring classroom conversations.

Soprano – Rusalka

Soprano – Sister/Prince's Sister

Mezzo-Soprano – Sea Witch

January 5 – May 15, 2026 (Rehearsals: January 5 – 16, 2026)

Compensation

$200 rehearsal fee

$200 monthly fee (includes 1 guaranteed performance day per month)

$50 per additional performance day if called

Artists and Arizona Opera will coordinate performance dates together each month. The mezzo-soprano may also be contacted to fill in for performances if needed, pending availability.
