About Sparkle Squad of Charleston

We're a locally owned company that keeps the Lowcountry looking its best — window cleaning, pressure washing, and professional holiday lighting. This fall and winter we're lighting up homes and businesses across Charleston, and we need reliable, safety-minded technicians to help make it happen.

About the role

As a seasonal Holiday Lighting Technician, you'll install, maintain, and remove professional-grade LED lighting displays from roughly October through January. It's hands-on, outdoor, up-on-a-ladder work with a great crew and real pride in the finished result. No holiday-lighting experience needed — we'll train you.

What you'll do

Install commercial-grade LED displays to plan — rooflines, landscaping, trees, wreaths, and garlands — on homes and commercial properties

Work safely at heights on ladders and rooftops (single- and two-story), following all ladder, fall-protection, and electrical-safety protocols

Build clean, finished displays: custom-fit measurement, straight lines, even spacing, hidden cords, secure fasteners

Test and troubleshoot displays and handle in-season service calls

Load, organize, and care for materials, tools, and the truck; keep every job site tidy

Take down, label, and store displays carefully after the season

Represent Sparkle Squad on customer property — uniformed, courteous, and clean

What it takes

Comfortable working at heights and steady on a ladder or roof — no fear of heights

Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb, kneel, reach, and stand for long stretches, outdoors in cold and variable weather

Reliable and punctual, especially through the November–December peak (includes some Saturdays)

Detail-oriented and proud of clean, finished work

18 or older with a valid SC driver's license and a safe driving record

Friendly and presentable on a customer's property; a team player

Able to pass a background check and drug screen

Nice to have (we'll train the rest)

Experience in holiday lighting, electrical, roofing, construction, landscaping, or handyman work

Comfort with ladders, hand tools, and working outdoors

Why Sparkle Squad

Do great work this season and there's a spot on our year-round window-cleaning and pressure-washing crew when the lights come down. We're locally owned, established, and built on a Cleaner · Safer · Better promise — with a crew that has your back. Tell us a bit about yourself and any relevant experience — no formal résumé required.
