Summary
Olney Gleason is seeking motivated individuals for Fall 2026 who are looking to start or advance their career in a Chelsea gallery. We are currently hiring on-site interns for up to 40 hours per work. Part-time applicants must be available to work a minimum of three days per week.
Our intern team is an integral part of the gallery’s daily operations. Interns primarily provide front desk coverage, serving as the first point of contact for visitors while helping ensure the gallery runs smoothly each day. As interns become familiar with gallery operations, they also have opportunities to assist the Sales, Operations, Research, Communications, and Registrar teams with a variety of projects and administrative initiatives.
Successful applicants are highly organized, proactive, adaptable, amiable, professional, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
This internship offers hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a contemporary art gallery, providing exposure to gallery administration, sales support, exhibition preparation, client relations, collections management, and registrar practices. Interns can gain meaningful experience across departments while developing a strong foundation for careers in commercial galleries, museums, auction houses, arts administration, and the broader art market.
