Board Relations Coordinator
The University of Louisiana System is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to serve as Board Relations Coordinator. This role supports the UL System's Board of Supervisors and the Vice President of Student Affairs and Board Relations by coordinating Board activities, events, and key administrative projects.
The Coordinator manages logistics, communications, and materials for Board and Systemwide events; provides executive and administrative support; assists with Board meeting preparation; and helps draft documents and track projects. Strong organization, communication skills, and sound judgment are essential.
This position will be reporting to the Vice President of Student Affairs and Board Relations.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree or three years of experience in administration, project coordination, or event support.
Core Competency/Knowledge Areas:
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
Professionalism, discretion, and experience supporting senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and project management tools.
Experience in event planning and an understanding of higher-education governance.
Ability to work evenings and travel as needed.
Job Duties and Other Information
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a secondary administrative contact for Board members and assist with Board meeting scheduling, logistics, materials, and minutes.
Track attendance, RSVPs, and support Board member travel needs.
Lead planning for Board events, including receptions, retreats, and special meetings.
Coordinate venues, catering, technology, room layouts, guest lists, parking, and onsite support.
Support System convenings and campus events, including vendor coordination and follow-up.
Provide administrative support to the Vice President for Student Affairs and Board Relations, including scheduling, communications, and meeting preparation.
Draft correspondence and briefing materials; maintain project timelines; support travel reimbursements, scholarship processing, and special Systemwide projects.
