Method to assess remote work: Weekly Zoom meetings with supervisor to assess progress. Development of materials to be included in departmental publications. Also involved with data entry, online research, development of materials to support ES student engagement, and developing work product for social media.

Job Description

Assisting with the maintenance and updating of student employment and internship resource materials.

Creating and developing written, visual, and multimedia content for departmental communications, publications, and social media platforms.

Collaborating with the team to develop and maintain the ES Department social media calendar, schedule posts related to departmental events and initiatives, and recommend new content topics.

Working independently to gather information, conduct interviews, write and edit content, and design articles for departmental publications.

Assisting in maintaining a variety of databases utilized by the department for programming.

Hourly breakdown: 10 hrs/week: 3 hours support for student resource development; 3 hours development of creative content for departmental social media and publications; 3 hours online research for special projects, 1 hr/week supervisory meeting.

Qualifications

Familiarity with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office applications for communication, document preparation, and collaboration.

Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Graphic design skills, including the ability to utilize platforms such as Canva to create engaging posts and visual content.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments.
