The Marketing Manager will lead the next phase of growth and brand evolution for Luna Park in Coney Island through the development of a modern, high-performing marketing function designed to support New York City’s most iconic amusement park destination.

This role represents a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial and visionary marketing leader to shape the future marketing direction of the business with significant ownership, visibility, and impact. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build scalable marketing infrastructure, establish best-in-class processes, develop a strong internal team culture, and elevate the park’s brand presence, guest engagement, and commercial performance.

The position requires both strategic leadership and operational execution, with responsibility for developing the marketing vision, organizational structure, communication standards, digital ecosystem, partnerships, and growth initiatives that will support the continued evolution of the park and strengthen its position within the highly competitive New York City’s market.

Central Amusement International Inc. (CAI) is an amusement park development and management company based in New York City. CAI developed Victorian Gardens at Wollman Rink in Central Park in 2003 and Luna Park in Coney Island in 2010, located at the birthplace of the amusement park industry. CAI is part of the Zamperla Group, the worldwide leader in amusement ride manufacturing.

POSITION DETAILS
Schedule: Full-time, on-site (End of March-End of October), hybrid (November-March)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and lead the marketing department from the ground up including organizational structure, workflows, tools, operational standards, and long-term strategy

Recruit, train, mentor, and develop future marketing team members while initially operating in a highly hands-on capacity

Establish marketing governance, communication standards, approval processes, and operational best practices

Develop scalable marketing infrastructure and processes to support the long-term growth of the business

Create a collaborative, performance-oriented, and commercially driven team culture

Strategic Marketing & Commercial Growth

Own and lead all marketing strategies across brand, digital, social media, PR, content, partnerships, and guest engagement initiatives

Develop annual and quarterly marketing plans with measurable KPIs, budgets, audience targets, and revenue objectives

Drive attendance growth, online sales conversion, season pass sales, and in-park spending initiatives

Develop integrated campaigns across digital, experiential, tourism, promotional, and partnership channels

Identify growth opportunities and recommend strategic initiatives to support business expansion and guest acquisition

Support executive leadership with reporting, forecasting, strategic recommendations, and performance analysis

Brand Management & Public Image

Protect, strengthen, and elevate the public image and brand reputation of Luna Park in Coney Island across all communication channels and guest touchpoints

Establish and maintain a modern and consistent brand identity framework reflecting the quality, heritage, and future vision of the park

Develop communication standards and approval processes to ensure professionalism and consistency across departments, agencies, vendors, and external partners

Identify opportunities to enhance brand perception through storytelling, partnerships, PR, guest engagement, and digital presence

Ensure consistency of messaging, tone, visual identity, and guest-facing communications across all marketing activities

Manage website strategy, SEO performance, analytics, and digital guest journey optimization

Oversee paid advertising strategy across Google, Meta, YouTube, display, retargeting, and emerging digital channels

Monitor campaign performance including CAC, ROAS, conversion rates, attendance impact, and engagement metrics

Oversee content strategy including photography, video, storytelling, influencer collaborations, and guest-generated content

Develop and manage social media and digital engagement initiatives aligned with brand and revenue objectives

Support the development of email marketing, audience segmentation, and retention initiatives

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operations

Work closely with Operations, Sales, Guest Services, F&B, Retail, Operations, and HR teams to align marketing and business objectives

Coordinate marketing support for seasonal campaigns, special events, partnerships, and operational initiatives

Support public relations management and crisis communication efforts as needed

Maintain strong alignment between marketing strategy and guest experience standards throughout the park

Support Park operations during peak periods, special events, and operationally critical situations as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, preferably within amusement parks, attractions, entertainment, hospitality, tourism, or experiential industries

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

Strong analytical, financial, and data-driven decision-making skills

Practical knowledge of marketing campaigns and promotions

Proven track record of building marketing teams, driving revenue growth and leading high-performing teams

Strong written and verbal communications skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Marketing Automation Platforms, Social Media Platforms, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, WordPress, and SEO

Due to the nature of the amusement park business, must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and holidays as needed
