Job Summary

This position is responsible for the BOC functions assigned by the BOC Supervisor. Position functions may include ingesting and preparation of program materials, input of and execution of traffic logs for assigned services and monitoring all services and network operating conditions. It requires communication with the local stations and proper annotations of any deviation of the station logs.

Reporting to the BOC Supervisor, this position is additionally responsible for working with engineering, traffic, and news departments to ensure that quality is consistently maintained among all services, News-Press and Gazette Co. provides an excellent working environment that recognizes performance and innovation.

One year of prior experience in television master control operations is preferred.

Collaborate effectively with newsroom, production, and station leadership
• Additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications

At least one year of experience
Schedule Expectations

This position may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and schedule adjustments based on breaking news, severe weather, station events, or operational needs.

Physical & Technical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift equipment as necessary
• Ability to operate computers, broadcast equipment, cameras, editing systems, and other newsroom technology
Work Environment

This position is based onsite in Colorado Springs, Colorado, unless otherwise approved by management. Employees may work in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments typical of broadcast news operations.

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $38,000.00 - $41,000.00 based on experience

In accordance with Colorado law, the compensation range provided is a good faith estimate of what NPG reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
