About the Role

This is a key position within the Tendering & Pre-Construction team. The Technical Proposal Engineer – Secondary will support the development of high-quality technical tender submissions for complex electrical infrastructure projects.
This role will work closely with the Primary Technical Proposal Engineer, estimating teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to help deliver technically compliant and commercially competitive proposals.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Primary Technical Proposal Engineer with the following:
Reviewing technical tender requirements and assisting with technical proposal development
Identifying value engineering opportunities to support cost‑effective project solutions
Assisting with specification and coordination of major electrical equipment in line with project requirements and industry standards
Coordinating technical deliverables including:
Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
General arrangements/layouts
Technical calculations
Project Execution Plans
Providing technical support to estimating teams throughout the bid process
Collaborating with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support technically compliant submissions
Managing and maintaining technical documentation throughout the tender lifecycle
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent electrical trade qualification
Experience supporting electrical infrastructure, utility, industrial, or energy‑related projects
Exposure to tendering, proposal engineering, pre‑construction, or project delivery environments preferred
Project management exposure or experience is advantageous
Strong understanding of the electrical contracting or infrastructure industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced environment
Proficiency with engineering software and Microsoft Office tools
Familiarity with supply chain coordination and vendor engagement processes
Flexible, collaborative, and detail‑oriented approach
