Base compensation range: $190,000.00 to $200,000.00. Position Overview
The Strategic Sales Director, Technology, acquires new businesses of high complexity and expands existing customer relationships into new countries within the Americas region, focusing on strategically important medium and large customers. The role also represents the full range of BU products and requires a background in technology logistics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Expand relationships with strategically important medium and large customers from our global and regional customer base, creating new opportunities that impact other countries within the Americas region where the customer regional HQ is based in the USA.

Develop new business opportunities that directly affect Hellmann's countries within the Americas, including customers headquartered in key countries and opportunities involving cross‑country selling.

Handle large opportunities at the country level in smaller countries where local country management may need additional sales expertise to secure the opportunity.

Prospect new accounts within the region via lead generation, tele‑marketing, direct mail, personal solicitation, etc.

Apply the methods of the Hellmann Sales Process: the Single Sales Principle—proactively identify, clarify, and validate compelling customer needs, deliver credible solutions, and offer perceived value.

Deliver personal sales plans in CRM and Corporate Planner on time and against the monthly budget as agreed with leadership.

Maintain effective customer records as prescribed within the CRM system.

Prepare customer quotations, present proposals, and close business deals.

Establish Service Level Agreements and Standard Operating Procedures with assigned customers.

Lead a joint customer planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones (KPIs) for a 1–3‑year period.

Support new customers’ implementation by directing company implementation resources and managing customers’ expectations.

Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure profitable business and achieve targets.

Create new sales leads within the Hellmann network and follow up on generated leads.

Provide continuous process improvement feedback to internal stakeholders.

Work closely with the Opportunity Management Team (OMT) on RFQs for their customers.

Own the customer complaint process and ensure successful implementation of solutions, including lessons learned.

Act within Hellmann's business code of conduct.

Achieve assigned sales goals in assigned key accounts (GP, volume target as assigned).

Meet expectations for growth and profitability of customers.

Complete customer plans that meet company standards.

Guide OMT to deliver customer RFQ responses based on compelling needs.

Live and deliver the Hellmann brand promise by building and maintaining lasting relationships with customers.

Achieve a defined level of qualification within the sales development program.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Logistics/Supply Chain, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience considered in lieu of the educational requirement.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar role in Technology.

Relevant work experience in a customer‑facing role with a prior track record of achievement and significant accountability.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

Background in Technology Logistics/Operations/Supply Chain/Freight Forwarding.

Experience and knowledge in Technology products.

Understanding of customer supply chains and networks.

Comprehensive understanding of freight forwarding and logistics processes.

Thorough knowledge of Hellmann products and services offering and ability to articulate them professionally.

In‑depth understanding of markets, industries, and competitors, including market research methods, and ability to identify best practice.

Clear understanding of all elements of the strategic sales process.

Physical Demands

Frequently required to stand and walk.

Regularly required to sit for extended periods.

Regular use of arms to reach, hands, and fingers for computer and phone use.

Speaking clearly and listening for heavy phone contact.

Requires close‑up and computer screen distance vision ability.

Requires frequent overnight travel—up to 50%.
