Warner Bros. Discovery is a premier global media and entertainment company that builds the products and platform capabilities that help audiences discover, choose, and enjoy great content across connected TV, web, mobile, tablet, and console experiences. Our Content Discovery organization sits at the center of that mission, spanning search, recommendations, personalization, ranking, merchandising, and experimentation across a global portfolio of brands and products.

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Principal Product Manager to lead strategy, vision, and execution for Content Discovery. This senior individual‑contributor role has broad influence across product, engineering, data science, design, editorial, marketing, analytics, and executive stakeholders. The incumbent will shape the next generation of discovery experiences and services that help users find the right content at the right moment, defining strategic direction, identifying high‑value customer and business problems, and driving a portfolio of initiatives that improve how users discover and choose content across our global streaming products.

The ideal candidate
Deep experience leading product strategy for ML‑driven consumer products at scale, especially in content discovery, search, recommendations, personalization, ranking, or related domains. Strong track record of defining strategy in ambiguous spaces, aligning senior stakeholders, and translating complex technical capabilities into measurable customer and business impact. Comfortable setting long‑term vision, debating technical tradeoffs with engineering and data science, and using experimentation and analysis to sharpen product direction. Forward‑looking perspective on how frontier AI models can reshape discovery experiences and the ability to distinguish durable product opportunities from short‑lived hype.

What you will do

Define and drive the product strategy for Content Discovery, aligning long‑term vision with company goals, user needs, and business priorities.

Own a multi‑horizon roadmap spanning foundational platform investments, user experience improvements, and next‑generation discovery capabilities.

Lead the evaluation and application of frontier models to re‑imagine how we understand content, user intent, and taste, generating more relevant, contextual, and adaptive discovery experiences.

Identify where frontier models can materially improve search, recommendations, personalization, ranking, merchandising, and emerging conversational or assistive discovery experiences.

Partner closely with engineering, data science, design, analytics, editorial, and marketing to translate strategy into product bets, execution plans, and successful launches.

Identify and quantify customer pain points and business opportunities through research, experimentation, market understanding, and data analysis.

Define product principles, success metrics, and experimentation frameworks to guide prioritization and measure impact.

Drive a user‑centered approach to discovery, improving relevance, clarity, usability, and overall customer satisfaction across surfaces and devices.

Communicate product vision, priorities, tradeoffs, progress, and results clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences, including executive leadership.

Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive shifts, and advances in AI and machine learning, translating those signals into product direction and business advantage.

Raise the quality bar for product thinking, experimentation, and cross‑functional decision‑making across the broader discovery portfolio.

Qualifications

15+ years of product management experience, including significant experience in senior‑level product leadership roles.

Deep expertise in content discovery, search, recommendations, personalization, ranking, or related ML‑driven consumer systems.

Successful track record defining product strategy and leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives that drive engagement, satisfaction, and business growth.

Strong understanding of experimentation, metric design, and data‑informed product development.

High technical fluency with the ability to engage credibly on model, data, system, and platform tradeoffs.

Experience bringing AI or machine learning capabilities into production consumer products, ideally at large scale.

Sound judgment about where frontier AI models can transform product experiences versus where traditional approaches remain more effective.

Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead through complexity without direct authority.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications

Experience in streaming media, digital entertainment, e‑commerce, marketplace, or other personalization‑heavy consumer products.

Experience working with large‑scale experimentation platforms, recommender systems, search and ranking platforms, or related ML infrastructure.

Experience presenting product strategy, investment tradeoffs, and business impact to senior executives.
