EveryPet (formerly known as First Coast No More Homeless Pets) is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable, accessible veterinary care from two state‑of‑the‑art facilities, including one of the largest spay
euter clinics in the country. We support a team of 20 dedicated veterinarians that care for more than 65,000 pets each year throughout northeast Florida and in underserved Jacksonville neighborhoods, additionally we perform more than 20,000 spay
euter surgeries each year.
Scope and Purpose
The position of Social Media & Communications Manager provides a unique opportunity to be our storyteller! You must have strong writing skills and a desire to capture the emotion of the human‑animal bond as you share our lifesaving work through words, pictures, video and other creative vehicles. This position reports to the Chief Development Officer.
As our Social Media and Communications Manager, you get to
Collaboratively develop and execute a social media and Public Relations plan based on measurable goals and objectives
Develop and publish compelling content across social media channels
Manage and optimize SEO and our online image including website
Work with the fundraising team to drive donor activity across all platforms
Produce newsletters, email blasts and annual publications
Coordinate and support special projects and assignments
Effectively promote our brand and mission in all internal and external communications.
Requirements
Passion for animal welfare and our mission
Exceptional attention to detail with excellent communication skills
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills across all platforms
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and with a sense of urgency
Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative, deadline‑driven environment
Ability to analyze and adjust performance‑based PR and social media strategies
