Director, Digital Information Transformation
Primary Purpose
The Director of Digital Information Transformation is a senior technology leader and strategic partner to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), responsible for driving UHA's enterprise technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives. This role provides leadership across all IT functions, ensuring secure, reliable, and innovative technology solutions that support business goals, regulatory requirements, and long-term growth.
Acting as the CIO's second-in-command, this position helps shape UHA's technology vision, operating model, and multi-year roadmap while promoting operational excellence, innovation, and exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the CIO to execute UHA's technology strategy and digital roadmap
Lead enterprise IT functions including applications, infrastructure, data & AI, and security
Drive digital transformation initiatives aligned with business priorities
Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable technology services and infrastructure
Oversee IT budgeting, vendor management, governance, and risk management
Build and lead a high-performing, innovative IT organization
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent work experience
7+ years of progressive technology or digital leadership experience, including:
Leading multiple enterprise technology teams
Developing and executing technology strategy
Delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
Proven success operating at senior leadership or executive levels
Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, infrastructure, data management, cybersecurity, governance, and IT service management
Excellent leadership, strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare, health insurance, or other highly regulated industries
Experience leading enterprise digital transformation, AI, or data-driven initiatives
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, including HIPAA
Strong financial, portfolio, and vendor management experience
Working Conditions
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
May require travel to meetings, training, or conferences on O?ahu or the mainland
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
May be eligible for remote work with manager approval
This position requires residency on O?ahu, Hawai'i
