Responsibilities
Experienced UI Front End Software Engineer (SWE3), directly meeting mission‑critical needs in partnership with mission customers.
Lead a team of UI developers, designing front‑end architecture and coding standards while remaining hands‑on in development across the full software product lifecycle in an agile environment.
Analyze user requirements to derive design and performance standards, and develop, debug, integrate systems, and implement algorithms to meet performance goals.
Translate UX/UI designs into accessible, production‑ready interfaces; mentor junior developers while collaborating closely with system engineers and product stakeholders to resolve technical problem areas.
Architect and implement scalable, maintainable front‑end solutions using modern frameworks.
Translate prototypes and design specifications into functional, responsive, and accessible interfaces.
Partner with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure design intent is preserved through implementation.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, cross-browser issues, and technical debt.
Participate in sprint planning, technical estimation, and architectural decision‑making.
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG) throughout development.
Required Qualifications
Active and current TS.SCI with full security package through Maryland.
Twelve (12) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Proven experience leading or mentoring a development team.
Strong proficiency in modern front‑end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) and standard web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Full‑stack experience, including backend development (Node.js, Python, Java, RESTful/GraphQL API design).
Experience with state management, component‑based architecture, and responsive design.
Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud).
Plus
for AWS or Azure or GovCloud.
Experience working closely with UX/UI and systems engineers to ensure accurate implementation of accessible interfaces.
Experience working with tiered architectural systems and in a Linux/Ubuntu environment is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Compensation
The proposed salary range for this position is: $215,731.00 – $230,393.00.
