Control Engineer

A Controls Engineer is required for a Houston-based power generation role focused on generator control systems, commissioning support, PLC/HMI programming and control panel testing before shipment.
This Controls Engineer role suits someone with electrical controls experience across generators, switchgear, medium-voltage systems and customer-facing commissioning support.

Program, test and troubleshoot generator set control systems
Support PLC, HMI, relay and protective device programming
Test power generation package controls at the Houston facility
Support installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting in the field
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline
2–4 years’ experience commissioning power generation and/or medium-voltage systems
Working knowledge of MCCs, VFDs, switchgear, motors, AC/DC systems and electrical troubleshooting
Ability to read single-line drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics and controls schematics
Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel up to 25% and legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer
