Volunteer Social Media Content Creator (Remote)

Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary is seeking a Volunteer Social Media Content Creator to join our Marketing Committee. This opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys social media, photography, videography, graphic design, and storytelling and has a passion for animal welfare.

Responsibilities

Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms

Capture photos and videos of sanctuary animals, volunteers, events, and behind-the-scenes activities

Edit photos and videos for social media posts, stories, and reels

Design occasional graphics and promotional materials using Canva

Assist with scheduling and publishing content

Collaborate with the Marketing Committee on content ideas and campaigns

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older

Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok

Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar content creation tools is preferred

Experience with social media scheduling software or a willingness to learn

Students or individuals with backgrounds in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design, public relations, or related fields are encouraged to apply

Reliable and able to meet agreed-upon deadlines

Passion for animals, wildlife, conservation, and nonprofit work

Time Commitment
Approximately 6–10 hours per month, including attendance at a brief monthly virtual Marketing Committee meeting. Volunteers are asked to commit to serving on the Marketing Committee for at least six months.

Location
Remote, with periodic visits to the sanctuary to capture content.
