Position Overview
The Category Manager is responsible for providing data driven actionable insights with key partners utilizing a combination of macro-economic, industry, and category specific factors that allow customers to integrate current trends into effective strategies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead customer line reviews by presenting compelling, data‑backed proposals to internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze POS and macro‑economic trends to uncover performance trends and opportunities.
Review retail pricing to identify opportunities for retail partners.
Articulate clear plans around category positioning, product segmentation, and strategic initiatives.
Present POS, pricing, and macro‑economic trends in novel ways that encourage customer engagement.
Collaborate with sales and customers on strategic initiatives.
Provide creative solutions and think outside the box.
Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications (Education, Experience & Skills)
Bachelor's degree or comparable experience.
5+ years of experience in category management or sales within the automotive aftermarket.
Exceptional business acumen.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across internal teams and external customers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
High level of accuracy and thoroughness in work.
Demonstrates diligence in completing tasks promptly and effective time management skills.
