Job Duties:

Designs, installs, and implements large, highly complex routine and non-routine audiovisual hardware, software, and associated systems. Leads preparation of rooms, venues, or events with proper AV equipment to ensure functionality and security per client and business needs.

Key Job Responsibilities
AV Equipment Support (75%)

Sets up, installs, upgrades, configures, troubleshoots, adjusts, documents, and connects complex audio, visual, lighting, computer equipment, and peripherals in various environments.

Responds to assistance requests in the campus IT ticketing system.

Schedules logistics and secures resources for new installations.

Tests, maintains, and recommends alternative hardware and software options.

Provides consultation for audio‑visual equipment purchases.

Support for Faculty and Staff (15%)

Assists with development and scheduling of operational work plans for classroom technology.

Provides consultation and answers regarding audio‑visual and classroom technology equipment and functionality.

General Responsibilities (10%)

Other duties as assigned.

Starting at $50,000 commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications

Experience providing training on use of technology.

Communication skills to create instructions for use of technology.

Customer service skills.

Knowledge in and experience with troubleshooting audio‑visual equipment.

Organizational and administrative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

AV Systems Certifications (Q‑SYS or Extron).

Professional experience in higher education.

Experience with Q‑SYS and/or Extron programming.

Project management experience involving audiovisual components.

At least 2 years supporting technology‑enabled classrooms or distance education programs.

Education

Minimum: High School Diploma.

Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Education, or related field.

Work Authorization
Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain throughout employment. No H‑1B or other visa sponsorship is offered by UWO.
