A law firm seeks an Environmental & Tort Associate with at least 3 years of experience in toxic tort, environmental litigation, and/or environmental regulatory counseling to join their Denver, CO office. This role involves defending and advising clients in the waste disposal, manufacturing, and energy development sectors on litigation, administrative enforcement, and compliance matters.
Duties
Defend toxic tort, citizen suits, and administrative enforcement actions in various forums.
Navigate environmental regulations and permitting under federal and state laws.
Represent PRP in cleanups under CERCLA with consultants and experts.
Interpret and advise on regulatory developments and policy changes.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Strong academic credentials and analytical skills.
Exceptional writing and client service abilities.
Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Desire to appear in court with confident oral communication skills.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
Certifications
Bar admission in the state of Colorado or eligibility for admission.
