Position: Assistant Director of Creative Media / Football

Responsibilities

Create high-impact recruiting visuals and dynamic social media content to engage prospective student‑athletes and elevate the Virginia Tech Football brand.

Collaborate closely with the Director and Senior Director of Football Creative Media to execute a strategic communication plan that enhances recruiting efforts and strengthens the program’s digital presence.

Demonstrate knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations related to recruiting and social media.

Supervise and train creative media student interns.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field with relevant experience, or a master’s degree.

Experience with Adobe products, including Photoshop and Illustrator.

Previous experience working directly in a recruiting department and managing day‑to‑day creative materials.

Experience organizing and executing photo shoots for prospective student athletes.

Working knowledge of NCAA compliance relative to recruiting materials.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience photographing and/or filming football practices, games, and other events, and producing videos through Adobe Premiere Pro and content through Adobe Lightroom.

Experience in an NCAA Division I Football program.

Supervisory experience overseeing interns, students, and volunteers creating recruiting graphics, videos, and creative materials.
