Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Transmission Line Engineer will include:
Providing design, engineering, and technical expertise for transmission lines, primarily supporting the Carolinas West region.
Familiarity with Transmission Line engineering theories and principles.
Working independently with guidance on complex projects.
Creating conceptual designs, performing detailed design calculations, and supporting construction activities.
Conducting engineering studies, preparing reports, and developing solutions for transmission line projects.
Ensuring project completion and supporting troubleshooting on-site.
Making informed decisions impacting projects and business results.
Maintaining accurate records and effective communication.
Job Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or state registration as a Professional Engineer.
Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years in Transmission Line.
Professional Engineer Licensure.
Experience in the utility industry and proficiency with transmission line design software (e.g., PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER).
Knowledge of applicable design codes and standards.
Strong research, evaluation, and recommendation skills.
Excellent communication skills and project management principles.
