The Multimedia Producer will serve as the backbone in creating and shaping HICONSUMPTION’s video offerings across all multimedia channels—most notably YouTube. Taking a Swiss army knife approach, you will be working alongside our editorial team and video editor to create a steady flow of visual stories that are on brand with HICONSUMPTION’s aesthetic.

Due to our wide content coverage, the ideal candidate will have varied interests in storytelling with a special emphasis on

watches and everyday carry gear . We’re only looking for enthusiasts here—people who live and breathe this stuff and are deeply immersed in the culture.

You’ll wear a lot of different hats, being responsible for videography, photography, scripting, voice narration/audio recording, serve as our on‑camera model, organizing/scheduling interviews including outreach and logistics, managing and directing production shoots, and managing product shipments for all of our studio product shoots/reviews and lifestyle/on‑location shoots. You’ll also work alongside our video editor to create short‑form videos for social platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.

Responsibilities

Work alongside editorial and video editor to ensure steady production of videos across all HICONSUMPTION verticals, including our .com, YouTube channel, and social media accounts including Instagram and TikTok

Helm complete video and photoshoots with minimal oversight including product videography and photography (setup to teardown)

Responsible for researching, scripting, and voice narration/audio recording

Serve as our on‑camera model for product reviews, interviews, etc.

Organize, manage, and direct all studio product shoots/reviews and lifestyle/on‑location shoots

Organize, manage and direct all video interviews including outreach, scripting, and logistics

Manage product shipments/logistics for all of our studio product shoots/reviews and lifestyle/on‑location shoots

Daily interfacing with brand partners, vendors, and PR reps to secure products for hands‑on coverage including spreadsheet management to track incoming/outgoing packages

Research, conceptualize and pitch engaging video content ideas that are designed to be digested and shared in a world consumed by social media

Strategize with team on larger video editorial and video pieces to help make HICONSUMPTION the best gear destination on the web

Requirements

At least 2 years of professional digital media, film, or video editing experience. Commercial studio/agency experience is a plus

Excellent grammar & writing skills with a diverse vocabulary, proficient at spelling, and strong attention to detail

High degree of proficiency in studio lighting setup, camera equipment (including HD/4K cameras), Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator

The ability to perform in-depth research on anything men’s gear related with a special emphasis on watches and everyday carry gear

Must possess an eye for great design, and ability to translate our brands, products, and services through compelling video storytelling

Strong portfolio, preferably with an emphasis on subject matters related to HICONSUMPTION

Must be intimately familiar with social media/video platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok

Must meet deadlines and have strong prioritization & time management skills

Must possess a strong, creative mindset with the ability to research, conceptualize and pitch video ideas

Ability to coordinate local and remote shoots (booking talent/locations as needed) with minimal input or supervision

Experience multitasking and tracking several projects simultaneously

Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable receiving constructive criticism

Loves working in a team environment, but is also comfortable working autonomously – this role will be in studio at least 3 days per week.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Film, Communication, or related field of study is preferred

Videography & photography skills are required

Graphic design skills are a plus
