ABOUT THE ROLE
Inkhouse is searching for a Senior Account Executive (SAE) who will manage multiple accounts, write effectively across different mediums, and drive day‑to‑day media relations as a member of key account teams. The SAE will serve as the lead media relations expert on their assigned accounts, especially with top‑tier press, and provide guidance to other team members.

Location:

This role is based in New York, N.Y.; Waltham, M.A.; Seattle, W.A.; San Francisco, C.A.; or San Diego, C.A., and requires in‑office presence 3 days a week.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Core media relations person on account: drafts weekly pitch and assigns targets.

Backup client contact on all communications.

Active participant on client calls, contributing to brainstorming, flagging concerns, and problem‑solving with executive client teams.

Writes top‑tier press releases, bylines, and blog posts.

Writes pitches for campaigns and launches to serve as templates for the team.

Drafts amplification memos for each media hit.

Stays on top of news and leverages it for regular proactive outreach.

Produces creative ideas for clients each week.

Stays up‑to‑date on PR and client trends.

Suggests social media ideas and keeps the team informed about new platforms and strategies.

Mentors junior staff and role‑models positive Inkhouse values and behaviors.

Oversees and offers strategic counsel on speaking and awards programs.

Manages analyst programs.

Liaises with the design team as needed for infographic and design work.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

4–6 years of progressive experience in public relations.

Passion and interest in working on tech accounts, demonstrating enthusiasm and expertise.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling stories, pitches, and professional client correspondence.

Savviness and creativity in media relations and pitching, speaking opportunities and award submissions, identifying new targets and thoughtful angles until the story lands.

Strong communication style, comfortable thinking on their feet and speaking with varying levels of staff, clients, and the media.

Demonstrated track record handling multiple client accounts simultaneously, working quickly and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Salary Range
$70,000–$90,000 (commensurate with experience and skills)
