About WeDoGood WeDoGood was started when we realised that under‑resourced entities are not able to grow due to lack of guidance and skillset. We are enabling growth by connecting them with skilled individuals who guide them and solve their problems. The skilled individuals come from top institutions and corporates with good experience and skillset. We focused on not‑for‑profits and social enterprises for 4 years and worked with over 1200 organisations across 24 states of India. We are right now expanding to youth, trying to provide personalised and skilled mentorship within 4 hours leveraging AI and aim to support 1 crore youth by 2030. We have future plans to expand to small businesses as well.
About The Role We are hiring Communications Managers for WeDoGood or one of our partner NGOs. You’ll own communications end‑to‑end for that organisation—brand building, content creation, social media, storytelling, and community engagement. This is a hands‑on, execution‑heavy role, not a strategy‑only position. Growth for most of the organisations you could be placed with is driven by organic content, community building, and smart outreach rather than paid ads.
This is an in‑person role, based out of Bangalore, Delhi, or Chennai depending on your location and the organisation you’re placed with.
Responsibilities Exact scope may vary slightly depending on whether you’re placed with WeDoGood or a partner organisation, but broadly includes:
Own your organisation’s brand presence across digital channels—website, social media (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter), newsletters, and blog
Drive lead generation relevant to your organisation; for WeDoGood, this means NGOs who need support and volunteers/mentors who want to contribute
Create compelling content—social media posts, blog articles, case studies, impact stories, and marketing collateral
Manage and grow your organisation’s online community—engage volunteers, mentors, partners, and/or beneficiaries through consistent communication and community‑building activities
Design or coordinate the creation of visual assets (social media creatives, presentations, one‑pagers) using tools like Canva or Figma
Support leadership/partnerships teams with pitch decks, proposals, and CSR‑facing marketing materials
Track communications performance metrics (engagement, reach, lead generation, community growth) and optimise based on data
Build and maintain a content calendar and ensure a consistent brand voice across all touchpoints
Manage external freelancers or interns working on communications deliverables
Requirements 2–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, content creation, or brand management (startup or NGO experience is a plus)
Strong writing skills—ability to write clear, engaging copy for different audiences and platforms
Hands‑on experience with social media management, content marketing, and organic growth strategies
Experience with lead generation through content, community, and outreach (not paid ads)
Basic design skills—can create social media posts and simple collateral using Canva/Figma
Community management experience—comfortable engaging with and growing online/offline communities
Proactive and self‑directed—can manage your own priorities and deadlines with minimal oversight
Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, high‑output environment
Nice to Have Video content creation or editing skills
SEO and email marketing experience
Prior experience working in the NGO
