Job Description
Oracle is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands‑on marketing leader to lead the North America Public Sector Industry Field Marketing team. This leader will develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that accelerate pipeline and revenue across Oracle's Public Sector business, including State & Local Government, Public Safety, Higher Education, U.S. Federal Government, Defense, and Intelligence. The role reports directly to the Vice President of North America Industry Field Marketing and leads a team of seven experienced Field Marketing professionals.
Success requires balancing the priorities of numerous sales leaders while ensuring marketing investments align with business objectives and deliver measurable pipeline and revenue impact.
The leader will oversee a diverse portfolio of demand generation programs including digital marketing campaigns, Oracle-led events, executive programs, third‑party conferences, sponsorships, industry associations, partner engagements, and Oracle's flagship Public Sector Summit. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and help the team execute, comfortable developing executive‑level marketing strategies, coaching seasoned marketers, partnering with sales leadership, and communicating the team's business impact to executive stakeholders across Oracle.
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the integrated field marketing strategy for Oracle's North America Public Sector business.
Align marketing investments with the priorities of multiple Public Sector sales organizations, including State & Local Government, Public Safety, Higher Education, Federal Government, Defense, and Intelligence.
Partner closely with sales leadership to identify growth opportunities, accelerate pipeline, and support strategic account priorities.
Translate corporate and industry priorities into scalable regional marketing programs that drive measurable business outcomes.
Lead a High‑Performing Team
Lead, coach, and develop a team of seven experienced Field Marketing Managers.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
Provide strategic direction while remaining actively engaged in program planning, execution, and problem solving.
Remove obstacles, prioritize resources, and ensure the team delivers exceptional experiences for customers, partners, and sellers.
Drive Demand Creation
Lead the development and execution of integrated demand generation programs including:
Digital marketing campaigns
Account‑based marketing initiatives
Executive events
Oracle Public Sector Summit
Third‑party conferences and sponsorships
Industry association engagement
Partner and alliance marketing
Customer executive briefings
Regional customer events
Balance competing priorities across multiple Public Sector sales organizations while ensuring marketing investments generate qualified pipeline, accelerate opportunities, and contribute to revenue growth.
Executive & Sales Partnership
Serve as the trusted marketing advisor to Public Sector sales leadership.
Build strong partnerships across Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Industry Strategy, Communications, and Alliances.
Present marketing strategies, business performance, and investment recommendations to senior executives.
Clearly communicate the team's mission, accomplishments, business value, and measurable impact across the organization.
Industry & Ecosystem Engagement
Develop strategic relationships with:
Public Sector industry associations
Higher Education associations and organizations
Government‑focused technology partners
Systems integrators
Third‑party event organizations
Sponsorship partners
Public Sector ecosystem organizations
Represent Oracle at executive customer engagements, industry conferences, and strategic events.
Marketing Operations & Performance
Manage the Public Sector field marketing budget and investment strategy.
Establish operational processes that enable scalable program execution.
Measure success through pipeline creation, opportunity acceleration, campaign performance, revenue influence, and marketing ROI.
Continuously optimize investments based on business performance and data‑driven insights.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related discipline.
12+ years of progressive B2B technology marketing experience.
5+ years leading high‑performing field marketing organizations.
Demonstrated success leading experienced marketing teams in complex, matrixed organizations.
Proven ability to balance the priorities of multiple sales organizations while driving measurable business results.
Experience developing integrated demand generation strategies that leverage digital programs, executive engagement, sponsorships, events, and partner marketing.
Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
Experience presenting marketing strategy, business results, and recommendations to senior executives.
Hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to actively support program execution when needed.
Strong analytical and operational mindset with experience managing budgets, forecasting performance, and measuring marketing effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience marketing to State & Local Government, Public Safety, Higher Education, U.S. Federal Government, Defense, Intelligence, or broader Public Sector organizations.
Experience supporting multiple enterprise sales organizations with differing priorities and business objectives.
Knowledge of Public Sector and Higher Education buying motions, procurement processes, and customer engagement models.
Experience managing integrated marketing programs across digital, events, sponsorships, partner marketing, and executive engagement.
Familiarity with Public Sector and Higher Education industry associations and major government and education conferences.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Corporate organizations.
Experience leading geographically distributed teams.
Location
Preferred location: Northern Virginia, with the expectation of working from Oracle's Reston, VA office two to three days per week to foster collaboration with sales, marketing, and executive leadership teams. Candidates outside the area may be considered based on business needs and relevant experience.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non‑overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Compensation
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $126,200 - $264,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
