Director/Senior Director, Media Partnerships

ONE Championship is Asia’s largest global sports media property, and the world’s largest martial arts organization, hosting bouts across all styles of martial arts such as Muay Thai, Kickboxing, MMA, Grappling, etc. In addition to its digital platforms, ONE Championship broadcasts to over 2.6 billion potential viewers across 190 countries around the world with some of the largest global broadcasters, including Amazon Prime Video, Sky Sports, Globo, Channel 7 HD, U-NEXT, Seven Network, Disney+ Hotstar, and more.
We are now looking to expand our Media Partnerships team. This would be a key role in shaping the future of the Company and you will take lead responsibility in the following key areas including, but not limited to:
Responsibilities Take ownership of distribution and monetization of ONE’s media rights portfolio across various media platforms
Develop and implement short and long-range growth strategies that significantly increase revenue and distribution through sales of media rights to achieve strategic objectives in alignment with ONE’s mission and vision
Lead all aspects of deal development such as prospecting, sourcing, negotiating, closing, proactively identifying potential business partners, and negotiating agreements
Lead all pitches to broadcasters and host meetings, as well as, workshops for both current and potential broadcasters to secure high-impact partnerships and maximize the value of ONE’s broadcast partnerships
Conduct strategic presentations to senior executives inside and outside the organization
Develop new market initiatives by assessing new markets and analyzing business opportunities
Leverage extensive network contacts and relationships, maximize opportunities to build relationships in the community
Develop and monitor metrics for maximizing sales performance and establish annual budget targets
Day to day liaison and client servicing for broadcast partners, distribution sales agents and broadcast/media sales prospects
Responsible for managing overall content fulfilment and value-adding to key accounts
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to monitor sales, renewal efforts, client’s requests and remain updated on programming plans
Ensure proper preparation and execution of signed contracts
Conduct market research to keep up with industry trends and source for potential clients
Requirements Knowledge of the Free-to-air TV landscape
Minimum 8-10 years' of experience in right holders / media sales
Proven track record in monetizing content through licensing negotiations and forming strategic partnerships
Significant track record of success in the television and/or digital media industry, with at least 5 years in a licensing role with prior exposure to strategy and/or consulting
Strong local market business knowledge, contacts and extensive rolodex is crucial
Understanding of digital media space and evolving trends
Highest level of integrity and ethics, both professional and personal
Excellent listening, negotiation, pitching and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently with strong decision-making abilities
Attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize work while working independently
Experience working in an international, cross-border, multi-cultural environment
Experience in sports and/or entertainment industry is a plus
