Position Summary
Are you experienced in running social campaigns and enjoy analytics to maximize exposure? Do you thrive in an independent role that lets you own the process from start to finish? If so, we’re looking for a Social Media Specialist to grow and oversee Benesch’s campaigns in this newly created role, shaping the firm’s marketing success.

Essential Functions
Social Media Management

Manage day‑to‑day activity for the firm’s LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X accounts.

Maintain the social media calendar to ensure timely promotion of firm news, events, and thought leadership.

Draft, edit, and post content aligned with firm messaging and attorney initiatives, including repurposing attorney‑authored content.

Collaborate with in‑house and external design resources on branded graphics and multimedia assets, and create quick‑turn visuals using firm‑approved templates.

Oversee the firm’s social management tool as the central platform for scheduling, monitoring, reporting, and employee advocacy.

Monitor activity, engage audiences, and escale issues as needed.

Support crisis communications monitoring and rapid‑response posting when necessary.

Collaborate with Marketing & Business Development to align social media efforts with firm‑wide campaigns, thought leadership, and client‑facing initiatives.

Ensure consistency with brand voice, visuals, and compliance guidelines across all content.

Attorney & Team Support

Partner with attorneys to enhance and optimize their professional social media presence and activity.

Support ongoing executive visibility efforts for firm leaders.

Provide coaching and best practices for building and maintaining an effective online presence.

Campaigns

Coordinate and execute paid social media campaigns, including collaboration with the Recruiting team, to support hiring initiatives and employer branding, as well as broader campaigns promoting the firm’s services, attorneys, achievements, and thought leadership.

Analytics & Insights

Collect, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations.

Monitor competitor activity and industry benchmarks to identify opportunities for differentiation.

Track trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to keep the firm’s strategy innovative and competitive.

Qualifications
The Social Media Specialist will hold a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field and have at least five years of experience managing social media platforms for a professional services firm, corporate organization, or agency. A strong knowledge of LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Sprout is essential. Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is preferred. The role requires proven experience with analytics, reporting, and translating data into actionable recommendations; familiarity with paid social campaigns and audience targeting is essential. Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, attention to detail, collaboration with attorneys, and the ability to stay highly organized in a fast‑paced environment are required.

Compensation
Salary range: $69 K to $86 K. Base pay is based on market location and may vary with experience; full‑time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
