Employees must reside in Texas or Oklahoma. Resume required in addition to application. Salary is $15 / hr, average of 10 hours per week with no more than 19 hours weekly. Positions are based at Corinth campus and Lewisville ISD.

Job Summary
TRIO Talent Search is a grant‑funded pre‑college program that helps students prepare for higher education. TRIO Talent Search serves 500 students annually and works with middle and high school students in Lewisville ISD. The TRIO TS Ambassador’s primary focus is to support the overall success of the students by providing help with goal setting, tutoring, group facilitation, and personal development. Candidates must demonstrate willingness, patience, and a passion for the student’s advancement in post‑secondary education.

Responsibilities and Duties

Work alongside TRIO TS staff to enhance the participant experience by recruiting participants and serving as student advocates through social and scholastic support

Assist with the supervision of the participants during program events and field trips

Provide quality customer service to current and prospective students.

Participate in program recruiting activities.

Use workflows to develop social media and online content creation.

Provide academic support through tutoring to students.

Facilitate group discussions with program participants.

Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change based on the need of the department and the institution.

Required Education
High School Diploma or GED.

Required Skills & Abilities

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills including excellent listening skills

Ability to effectively tutor participants & track academic progress

Ability to work effectively with students in grades 9-12

Maintains a positive role within the program and a favorable public image

Good interpersonal skills and demonstrably self‑motivated

Have good time‑management and organizational skills

Punctual, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality of student information

Have computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media

Professional or personal experience in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting project participants

Preferred Experience

Applicants must be pursuing an educational credential, degree, or certificate

Have and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA (waived for first‑semester new students) be in good academic standing

Be a current or former TRIO participant or come from a first‑generation background.
