Job Description
The role is a volunteer position overseeing the review of 3D work by a team of talented 3D Artists on The Lays of Althas: Sundered Order (LoA:SO). Responsibilities include managing the team, ensuring high-quality textured 3D assets, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining clear communication through team meetings and Slack.
Communication is key to a smooth and efficient pipeline. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with other team members and not be afraid to ask for clarification if problems arise. English fluency is required.
Other duties include following team policies, attending meetings, and contributing to the overall artistic quality of the project.
This is a volunteer position, so no monetary compensation is offered.
We do not offer work visas and seek candidates who can contribute in spare-time hours.
We rely on free or previously licensed software. We do not endorse piracy in any shape or form.
Qualifications
Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Ability to manage other 3D game artists.
Experience providing constructive criticism on 3D models and textures.
Knowledge of physically-based rendering (PBR) for game modeling/sculpting.
Experience working with low-poly/game-ready assets.
Knowledge of texturing techniques (Diffuse, Normal, Displacement, etc.).

Recommended 3D Modeling Software (1 or more):
Autodesk 3DS Max / Maya
Pixologic ZBrush / Mudbox
Recommended 2D Image Software (either or both):
Photoshop (CS4 and up)
GIMP
We can provide software if you are missing any.
Also recommended experience with Unreal Engine.
