For our client, we are seeking a Strategy Lead Portfolio And Planning Specialty Care GBU to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross‑functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.

Location: Morristown, NJ – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $232,500 – $335,833 annually

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee the Specialty Care GBU's annual strategic planning cycle and portfolio review

Develop and maintain a high-quality, standardized planning process with clear timelines and outputs

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create cohesive GBU plans for leadership

Lead the development of long-term strategic direction across therapeutic areas in the GBU

Conduct market and competitive analyses to inform strategic decisions

Support governance of the portfolio to guide investment and prioritization decisions

Act as a thought partner to the Global Head of Strategy & Operations

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a scientific or business field

Advanced degree in life sciences (MD, PhD, or PharmD) and/or an MBA preferred

Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biopharma strategy or portfolio management

Experience coordinating strategic planning cycles within large, matrixed organizations

Strong analytical capability in portfolio prioritization and investment trade-offs across multi‑asset portfolios
