Business Development Manager
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving steady, sustainable revenue growth by identifying, landing, and nurturing client relationships for diverse projects across retail build‑outs, special events, staging, theater, and custom furniture/fixtures. The role focuses on developing long‑term partnerships, working closely with internal teams to develop solutions that align creative intent, schedule, and budget with client criteria. The Business Development Manager will serve as the main point of contact during the development phase on projects, helping translate client needs into well‑defined opportunities while positioning the company as a trusted fabrication partner.

Key Responsibilities

Drive consistent revenue by identifying, securing, and nurturing client relationships within scenic fabrication market

Serve as a trusted partner to clients during early conversations, bidding, and the project development phase

Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified projects that supports steady project flow

Lead client calls to understand creative goals, budgets, schedules, and technical requirements

Work alongside the Business Development team to establish best practices and strategize workflows to maximize effectiveness.

Collaborate with internal teams to shape scopes, pricing, and pursuit strategies that align with company resources and goals

Develop and present proposals and estimates that align client expectations with company capabilities

Maintain accurate project pipelines and contribute to company forecasting and capacity planning

Represent the company at client meetings, site visits, and events as needed

Qualifications

5+ years of business development, sales, or project management experience in scenic fabrication, experiential, custom fabrication, or related project‑based industries

Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships, sales track record a plus

Strong understanding of construction methods and fabrication workflows, estimating, and production constraints. Proficiency in reading shop drawings, Sketchup/CAD a plus

Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills. Comfortable navigating creative, technical, and operational conversations.

Adaptable, collaborative, and detail‑oriented. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Willing to travel and work non‑standard hours as needed.
