We are looking for a Material Artist to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality realistic Sci‑Fi materials for game environments and assets. This role involves close collaboration with 3D artists, Technical artists, and Concept artists to develop physically accurate, visually rich, and production‑ready materials. A strong focus is placed on both hard surface and organic surfaces, as well as seamless integration into Unreal Engine 4/5.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a similar position
Advanced proficiency in subdivision modeling
Experience working with CAD software
Basic knowledge of ZBrush
Solid understanding of physical properties of metallic and dielectric materials
Understanding of metal surface damage and destruction principles
Knowledge of mechanical systems, connection types, and constructions
Experience with tileable textures and trim sheets
Strong understanding of game asset optimization principles
Responsibilities:
Implementing assets into the engine
Basic level integration tasks
Close collaboration with concept artists, technical artists, animators, and VFX team
Would beaplus:
Experience working with game engines
Experience with Substance Designer
