Essay Editor

Providing detailed feedback on high school students' essays, the part-time remote Essay Editor will refine drafts, enhance storytelling, and ensure clarity and coherence while adhering to strict deadlines during the peak admissions season from August to January.
Key responsibilities

Edit and provide constructive feedback on student essays focusing on clarity, structure, and overall impact
Help students strengthen their voice and convey their intended messages through technical writing skills
Maintain consistent availability to review and edit essays within a 24-hour timeframe during peak season

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
Graduated from a top 50 university in the United States
Prior experience in editing, tutoring, or coaching writing, preferably with high school students
Background in college admissions preferred, but not mandatory
Strong organizational skills and ability to provide constructive criticism in a supportive manner
